Manchester Bridge Club Mixed Pairs  -Sunday 28th June 2009 at 7.00pm
A one session event for club members and guests  with half time refreshments of strawberries and cream or ice cream and fruit platters. A glass of sparkling wine to finish proceedings. Cost £9.00 per player. Please enter with Jeff (0161-445-3712)
We are holding a heat of the Bill Hughes Simultaneous Pairs on Tuesday 30th June, starting at 7.30 pm.

Manchester Bridge Club  National Inter Club Knockout team captained by by Michelle Brunner (John Holland, Bill Hirst, John Hassett) are in the quarter finals after beating Hurworth (North East) at the weekend.

The same team also won the MERVILLE GOLDSTONE TROPHY( Manchester County Teams Trophy) beating Michael Byrne (Mike Newman, Mike Bell, Gary Hyett and Rodney Lighton) in the final.

RUIA CUP 2nd  SESSION -Thursday 11th June 7.30pm. If you are not in a team please let Jeff know!

On Ruia Cup Evening from 6.30pm and for the whole evening, players can try out  the Nintendo DS -part of 'Welcome to the Touch! Generations tour.'
A Nintendo DS sampling table with 6 stools and a range of software will be on hand in the bar to encourage people to have a go with games which boost mental agility!

- Are you interested in playing in the Manchester League? If so speak to David Tattershall at the club Thursday night( 11th June).Anyone interested in the Newcomers League should speak to Jeff Morris or Michael Byrne.

PS - Best of luck to the players from the club travelling to San Remo next weekend for the European Open Championships
