The Bridge Club's annual Christmas event, was won for the second year running by Alex Wilkinson and his father Tony. Alex has represented Scotland at Junior level for many years now but along with his father has now been selected to play for the Scottish Camrose team at full open level!When he plays it will make Alex the youngest ever player to participate in a Camrose Match.

The half time leaders were Sam Herman and Barbara Lewis who just slipped a bit in the 2nd half to finish 4th, in 2nd overall were reliable veterans Gerry Cohen and Boris Mendleson, with former winners Dave Baskin and Derry McCarthy in 3rd.

50 pairs took part in all.Tony Wilkinson in accepting the first prize of £150 thanked Jeff Morris particularly for all his encouragement for young players in the North.
